Riding on the wave of Taiwan feel-good foodie movies, 27 C Loaf Rocks is an inspirational film directed by Lin Cheng Sheng (Betelnut Beauty, Tropical Fish). Starring Lego Lee, Summer Meng and Gao Meng Jie, the film is based on the life story of famous baker Wu Pao Chun who rose to fame through his passion for bread and determination to provide a better life for his mother.
Although Ng (Lego Lee) comes from a single-parent family, the hard work and unconditional sacrifices of his mother (Wang Cai Hua) gave Ng a relatively carefree childhood. As far as Ng could remember, the red bean bread from his classmate Yan (Summer Meng) was the first delicious thing that he had ever tried. The sweetness and the happiness he felt from the bread escalated to love for Yan and his lifelong pursuit in the art of baking. Growing up, Ng enters the baking industry as an apprentice in hopes of repaying his mother.
