A City Called Dragon (DVD) (English Subtitled) (Taiwan Version)
This 1970 Union Film release was helmed by Larry Tu Chong Hsun, who worked as the assistant director to King Hu on such classics as Dragon Gate Inn and A Touch of Zen. Set in a place called Dragon City, the story concerns a Jin warlord who slaughters an entire family of more than 80 people, as they possessed a map that contained crucial info for the rebellion. The map is lost in the aftermath, and both the Jin officials and rebellion are trying to recover it before the other side does. The rebellion sends a female spy nicknamed “Jade Dragonfly” (played by Hsu Feng, who won the Most Promising Actress award at the Golden Horse Awards for her performance) into Dragon City to find the missing map. Little does she know that the Jins have already set a trap for her….
