One of the most anticipated TVB drama series of 2010, A Fistful of Stances is the brainchild of the acclaimed creative team behind the phenomenal Rosy Business. Popular actors Kevin Cheng (playing two roles), Kenneth Ma, and Tavia Yeung star in the period action drama alongside veterans Yuen Qiu, Lam Ka Wah, Chung King Fai, and Kara Hui, as well as young co-stars Selena Li, Natalie Tong, Shirley Yeung, Nancy Wu, and Jacky Heung. Jumping back and forth between the time periods of 1910s and 1930s, the series’ crosscutting narrative plays out with breathtaking tension the dramatic causes and consequences of a serial murder and the resulting family vendetta and clan conflicts that span three generations.

In 1912 Guangzhou, reputed boxer Au-Yeung Biu (Chung King Fai) intends to pass his martial arts school on to his daughter Au-Yeung Wai Lan (Tavia Yeung) and her upright husband Koo Kin Shing (Kevin Cheng). One day, Shing and Lan meet down-on-his-luck former martial arts champion Wing Tak (Lam Ka Wah) on a train and Shing gets him out of trouble. He also finds Tak a job as an assistant coach at Biu’s martial arts school. However, the constant quarrels with Biu and the humiliating mistreatment by Biu’s wife Hau Ho Fa only fill Tak with frustration and anger. Shing encourages Tak to enroll in the Guangdong Boxing Tournament, which Tak eventually wins, and all the fame and fortune he has desired finally come his way. In the meantime, Biu and Fa are found murdered gruesomely. Shing suspects Tak and goes to confront him, but is never seen again….
