Famous for her martial arts films, Shang Kuan Ling Feng trained hard in taekwondo and karate in order to be convincing in her female fighter roles. Such professionalism would later earn her the Best Actress award at the Golden Horse Awards. A year before that, she starred in this 1972 Union Film production as the titular heroine, Sima Murong. A female vigilante, Sima Murong takes it upon herself to rid the town of its local bully, Kim, who not only raped a woman but also killed her entire family. After some struggles, Murong captures Kim, and proceeds to take him to the judicial court. However, Kim’s father has plotted to stage a raid en route to save his son….
