Starring Yoo Ji Ha and former Playboy model Lee Sung Hi, Kang Jung Soo’s 1998 film A Night on the Water is a steamy production that earns its restricted rating. Shot in Canada, the English-language film was adapted to the big screen from a Kim Jae Sik novel by the writer himself. A love story with a seductive twist, the film is full of odd details, introspective dialogue, and passionate scenes. After some tough times at work, harried businessman Baek Seong Ha (Yoo Ji Ha) picks up prostitute Phoebe (Lee Sung Hi) at a train station. After spending a memorable night together, Seong Ha keeps seeking out Phoebe, finding her at a strip club. He realizes he has fallen for her when she disappears from his life briefly. When Phoebe returns, Seong Ha tries hard to keep her by his side and pull her away from her wild lifestyle, but Phoebe isn’t ready to change.
