In 2010, the comedy He’s on Duty turned into a sleeper hit at the Korean box office. Two years later, director Yook Sang Hyo and leading man Kim In Kwon team up again for Almost Che, another bumbling yet clever comedy from society’s margins. Kim In Kwon stars as homely delivery man Dae Oh, who delivers Chinese food everyday to the students of a nearby university. He falls head over heals for a student activist (You Da In, Re-encounter), and decides to join the protest movement to impress her. It’s all a pretense to get the girl, but somehow Dae Oh ends up joining the takeover of the American Cultural Center! Inspired by the real-life 1985 student protest movement, Almost Che also co-stars breakout actor Jo Jung Suk (Architecture 101) and Park Cheol Min (The Tower).
