The winning team of George Lam and Teddy Robin collaborate again on Banana Cop, an offbeat cop comedy directed by Leong Po Chi. George Lam is Edward, a Scotland Yard cop investigating the murder of two men who owned private casinos in London’s Chinatown. His investigation leads him to Hong Kong, where he looks up Ping Pong Ball (Teddy Robin), a diminutive convict who used to know the victims. But Ping Pong Ball has plenty of enemies, who may or may not be after the fellow for reasons pertaining to the murder. Meanwhile, Ping Pong Ball falls in love with Amy, a blind school teacher played by the ever-charming Cherie Chung. It’s chases and mystery aplenty in Banana Cop as the dynamic duo attempts solve the crime and save the day! George Lam and Teddy Robin show the same screen chemistry that they showed in their previous collaborations, the Tsui Hark comedy All the Wrong Clues, and All the Wrong Spies, an entertaining spy spoof directed by Teddy Robin himself!.
