Andy Lau is Fei Lung, a legendary triad boss who’s managed to go straight. His right-hand man is Sing (Louis Koo), an accomplished triad who’s actually a cop sent deep, deep undercover to implicate Fei Lung in any wrongdoing. However, he’s convinced that Fei Lung is on the straight and narrow, and has come to respect his boss’ tough, righteous ways.
However, conflicts arise when Hung Hing boss Pau (Anthony Wong) falls ill, leaving a void at the top of the triad. Many want Fei Lung to occupy the seat, but Pau’s son Man (Patrick Tam of Beast Cops) wants in, even if he has to lie, steal, and cheat his way to the top.
