The time is Ancient China, and young Lang (voiced by Daniel Wu in English, and Stephen Fung in Cantonese) embarks on a quest to save the village of Peach Springs from the vicious Boar King. Along the way, Lang meets a menagerie of colorful and comic characters, engages in a wushu martial arts tourney, and attempts to prove himself worthy of wielding the Dragonblade, a mystical weapon that could be the key to the Boar King’s defeat! But first Lang has to contend with the mysterious female Night Thief – and also Ying Ying (voiced by Karen Mok), the most beautiful girl in Peach Springs.
