Based on a popular online novel from the best-selling author of The Girl in Blue, 2010 Chinese drama series Endless Love tells an epic tale of unwavering love set in the turbulent times of China in the early 20th century. Described as China’s Pearl Harbor, the period romance drama is the latest directorial work of veteran TVB producer Tsang Lai Chun (It Runs in the Family). She directs Hong Kong actor Wallace Chung (Royal Tramp) and Mainland actress Li Xiaoran (Seven Swordsmen) in a cast that also includes The Myth actor Tan Kai, former Miss China Universe winner Qi Fang, and veteran thespians Kou Zhenhai and Kuei Ya Lei.
Yin Jingwan (Li Xiaoran) goes to confront Murong Feng (Wallace Chung), the son of a warlord, asking him to get her fianc out of jail. He declines her request, but in time ends up falling for her. Despite her intense feelings for Feng, she’s too afraid to renege on her engagement to Xu Jianzhang (Tan Kai), but on the eve of their wedding, she makes up her mind and runs away from home to follow Feng to the battlefield. Unfortunately, in order to get the backing of a powerful general, Feng is forced to marry his daughter Cheng Jinzhi (Qi Fang). Meanwhile, driven by shame and hatred, Jianzhang vows to destroy Feng at any cost, even if that means colluding with the Japanese invaders….
