Ju Ji Hoon (Antique) makes his post-army comeback playing dual roles in I Am A King, a Joseon period comedy take on The Prince and the Pauper. Directed by Jang Gyu Seong (Small Town Rivals), the film tells a fictional formative episode in the life of the weak young prince who would one day become the great King Sejong. Actress Honey Lee (Deranged), funnymen Lim Won Hee and Kim Su Ro and veteran actors Baek Yoon Shik, Park Young Gyu and Byun Hee Bong co-star in the royal fable.
Faced with the pressure of the throne, reluctant crown prince Chungnyeong (Ju Ji Hoon) chooses to run away. One night, he scales the palace wall and escapes to the outside world to experience life at large. Meanwhile, bad-tempered slave Deok Chil (Ju Ji Hoon), who greatly resembles Chungnyeong, collapses outside the palace. Mistaken for the prince, Deok Chil is brought into the palace and unwittingly takes Chungnyeong’s place within the palace walls.
