Since 2010, Hong Kong television network TVB and Shaw Brothers Studio have been providing laughter to Hong Kongers all over the world with their annual Lunar New Year comedy. The tradition continues in 2013 with their fourth LNY film I Love Hong Kong 2013! TVB is sending out all their stars to ring in the Year of the Snake with this uproarious comedy about a kind restaurant owner who has spent all his life helping everyone but himself. In addition to familiar TVB artists like Bosco Wong, Michael Tse, Kate Tsui and Wong Cho Lam, I Love Hong Kong 2013 also stars pop veteran Alan Tam and 90s starlet Veronica Yip, in her first film in over 16 years. Filled with laughs, chills, tears and even a dash of song-and-dance, I Love Hong Kong 2013 is the best way to celebrate Lunar New Year!

All his life, restaurant owner Chi Hung (Alan Tam) has given everything to help those around him, even to the point of taking over his employees’ debts. However, that kindness has come at the expense of his family, especially the happiness of his wife Yeung Yeung (Veronica Yip). Chi Hung’s benevolence streak comes to an end when he comes under heavy debt, and he is forced to sell the restaurant to Shek Sau (Chan Bak Cheung), his lifelong nemesis. Before Chi Hung commits suicide, an angel (Eric Tsang) appears and reminds Chi Hung of all the good times he had at the restaurant as a young man (Bosco Wong), including his arrival in Hong Kong, his courtship with young Yeung Yeung (Kate Tsui) and even the events that turned young Shek Sau (Michael Tse) against him. Soon, Chi Hung learns that a little help from his friends is all he needs.
