Dr. Yukawa Manabu (Fukuyama Masaharu) goes to a beautiful seaside town to participate in a panel on a local development project. While staying in a local hotel, a former detective is found dead. The police sends Tokyo-based detective and Yukawa’s police liaison Kishitani (Yoshitaka Yuriko) to investigate. Discovering clues that reveal the case is more complex than it appears, Manabu joins in on the investigation. At the same time, Manabu gets to know the family that owns the inn, including activist daughter Narumi (Anne) and the grandson who has come to visit for the summer..
