Inspired by a real-life scandal, MBC’s much talked about 2011 melodrama Miss Ripley stars Lee Da Hae (My Girl) as the eponymous anti-heroine who forges her education credentials to rise to a higher station in life. JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun (Sungkyunkwan Scandal) and Kim Seung Woo (IRIS) co-star as the two very different men she coyly manipulates to get ahead, but the higher one climbs, the harder the fall. Also co-starring Kang Hye Jung (Welcome to Dongmakgol) and Kim Jung Tae (Can’t Live with Losing), the heartfelt drama weaves a tangled web of love and lies under the spell of its beautiful, tragic, and talented Miss Ripley.

Adopted to Japan as a child, Mi Ri (Lee Da Hae) grew up under tough circumstances and works as a club hostess under the thumb of pimp Hirayama (Kim Jung Tae). When the chance comes, she makes a run for it, and finally returns to Korea to start anew. To stay in Korea, she needs a job but companies won’t even consider her without a degree. In desperation, she lies about being a Tokyo University graduate, and hotelier Myung Hoon (Kim Seung Woo) promptly hires her. Determined to leave her miserable past behind, Mi Ri not only forges her friend Hee Joo’s (Kang Hye Jung) degree as her own, she successfully wins Myung Hoon’s heart and support, only to leave him for a bigger fish – young, lovestruck hotel heir Yoo Hyun (Park Yoo Chun). As Mi Ri’s lies and ambitions grow bigger and bigger, the past begins to catch up..
