Now, SMAP’s Nakai Masahiro is back as the brilliant titular character in Ataru The First Love & The Last Kill, the series’ first feature film! This time, Ataru goes head-to-head with a brilliant female criminal with similar powers (played by Horikita Maki) and clear his own name after being set up as the perpetrator of the crimes. In addition to returning cast members Kitamura Kazuki and Kuriyama Chiaki, The First Love & The Last Kill also features a cameo by drama special co-star Okada Masaki (Confessions) and new cast member Matsuyuki Yasuko (The Apology King).
Set after the events of the television series and the drama special, the film starts after Ataru (Nakai Masahiro) completes the FBI’s special savant training program. Now working for the FBI, Ataru has mastered his special abilities to solve crime. When a series of crimes hits both Japan and the United States, Ataru returns to Japan to assist in the investigation with former partners Sawa (Kitamura Kazuki) and Ebine (Kuriyama Chiaki). Soon, Ataru discovers the existence of Madoka (Horikita Maki), a brilliant girl who has the same deductive and memory power as Ataru. After he is accused of being the perpetrator of the crimes, Ataru must now use his powers to clear his name and stop Madoka.
