In this take of the tale, Akko-chan enters the adult world of office politics to save the lipstick company she loves. Haruka Ayase (Hotaru no Hikari) gives an adorable performance as the adult form of Akko-chan, playing a 10-year-old girl living inside a 22-year-old adult’s body. Okada Masaki (Confession) also co-stars in this charming fantasy comedy as Akko-chan’s idealistic boss.

In love with make-up, 10-year-old Akko-chan can’t wait to grow up and become a woman. One day, meets a spiritual being who gives her a magical mirror and an enchantment spell that transforms her into an adult woman (Haruka Ayase). Breaking up may be hard to do, but one woman proves that there is light at the end of the tunnel in Love is Not Blind. Known for television dramas Dwelling Narrowness and Naked Wedding, director Teng Hua Tao adapts Bao Jing Jing’s novel about a young woman’s 33-day journey away from the pain of a broken heart. As he had done with his television dramas, Teng once again successfully captures the true attitudes and concerns of young Chinese urbanites, specifically towards the struggles of finding and maintaining a long-lasting romance.

Law of Attraction co-stars Bai Bai He and Wen Zhang (Ocean Heaven) reunite as the heartbroken woman and the sharp-tongued, metrosexual co-worker who lends her some much-needed support. Opening in time for “Singles Day” in China after a marketing campaign that included video testimonials of people tearfully recounting their own breakups, Love is Not Blind became the surprise hit of 2011 in Mainland China, grossing US$55 million from a modest budget of US$1.5 million.

27-year-old Huang Xiao Xian (Bai Bai He) thinks she’s got it all: A steady job at a wedding planning firm, a loyal best friend, and an eight-year relationship that is surely heading towards marriage. However, when she catches her boyfriend with her best friend, Xiao Xian’s life falls apart. Eventually, Xiao Xian finds the encouragement to pick up the pieces with the help of her boss and her effeminate co-worker/office rival Huang Yi Yang (Wen Zhang). After 33 days of heartbreak, Xiao Xian finally realizes that she is the only one who can truly help her step out of her pain..
