The highest-grossing Thai film of 2003, pint-sized romance My Girl (a.k.a Fan Chan) takes a nostalgic feel-good journey back to 1980s Thailand. Backdropped by the sound of 80s Thai pop, My Girl is a joint effort by six up-and-coming filmmakers – Vitcha Gojiew, Nithiwat Tharathorn, Witthaya Thongyooyong, Adisorn Trisirikasem, Komgrit Triwimol, and Songyos Sugmakanan, who would go on to direct Dorm. The film’s lead Charlie Trairat, who also later starred in Sugmakanan’s Dorm and Hormones, is now one of Thailand’s most popular young actors.

Jeab (Charwin Jitsomboon) heads from his hometown from Bangkok to attend the wedding of his childhood friend Noi-Naa (Focus Jirakul). On the road back, he flashes back to memories of his small-town childhood, his close friendship with Noi-Naa, and their fallout. Young Jeab (Charlie Trairat) never got a chance to say sorry or goodbye to Noi-Naa before she moved away. Her wedding will be the first time they see each other in many years..
