Hong Kong romance director Patrick Kong’s (Love Is The Only Answer) latest film Natural Born Lovers pairs up handsome singer-actor Julian Cheung Chi Lam (The Grandmasters) with gorgeous actress Annie Liu (Exodus). Reportedly inspired by a true story, the lighthearted urban romance has a bigger emphasis on comedy compared to the director’s past films, but still features loads of his unique insights on relationship. When pastry chef Lam (Cheung) meets nurse Bo (Liu), he is instantly attracted to her by her angelic beauty and ladylike grace. They soon fall madly in love with each other, but Lam begins to see the not-so-desirable side of her: that she is a control freak prone to jealousy, paranoia and violence! Bo obsessively spies on him all day, invading his privacy with unauthorized access to his phone calls and online accounts. Unable to escape this “love maniac,” Lam counter-investigates her, leading him to the surprising discovery of the secret behind her outrageous behaviors….
