Nobita and the Kingdom of Clouds (Hong Kong Version)
Since its creation in 1970 Doraemon has gone on to become one of Japanese pop culture’s most enduring and popular franchises, comprising multiple comics, TV series (over 2000 episodes and running!), many theatrical films, and an impressive amount of merchandising. Doraemon is a blue-and-white mechanical cat sent back in time by the future descendants of Nobita Nobi, a hapless kid whose laziness and ineptitude have led to suffering for future generations. Doraemon tries to set Nobita on the right path, but he’s not entirely capable himself, leading to many unexpected and frequently hilarious misadventures.
In the 1992 feature Nobita and the Kingdom of Clouds, Nobita and Doraemon encounter a group of humans who live in the clouds. Separated from humanity below, the group has become angry at man’s decimation of Earth’s environment. Judgement day is upon humanity. Can Doraemon and Nobita save the world?.
