A television journalist (Kobayashi Masafumi) is investigating a series of paranormal phenomena. An actress is possessed by spirits, a psychic goes crazy, aborted fetuses disappear from hospitals – these seemingly unrelated events all point to a demon called “Kagutaba” and an ancient ritual that was practiced in the now destroyed village of Shimokage.
