A shojo manga-style take on Big, Akatsuka Fujio’s Himitsu no Akko-chan is now a live-action feature film after multiple anime and live-action series. Directed by Kawamura Taisuke (Nodame Cantabile the Movie), the Akko-chan film follows the story’s basic premise: A young girl is given a mirror that magically transforms her into an adult. In this take of the tale, Akko-chan enters the adult world of office politics to save the lipstick company she loves. Haruka Ayase (Hotaru no Hikari) gives an adorable performance as the adult form of Akko-chan, playing a 10-year-old girl living inside a 22-year-old adult’s body. Okada Masaki (Confession) also co-stars in this charming fantasy comedy as Akko-chan’s idealistic boss.

In love with make-up, 10-year-old Akko-chan can’t wait to grow up and become a woman. One day, meets a spiritual being who gives her a magical mirror and an enchantment spell that transforms her into an adult woman (Haruka Ayase). By pure coincidence, the adult Akko-chan manages to score a job in the development department of her favorite cosmetics company, under idealistic young manager Naoto (Okada Masaki). Even though Akko-chan’s childlike persona confounds her co-workers, she soon finds ways to breathe fresh life into the company. However, Akko-chan soon learns of a conspiracy to take down the troubled firm and decides to go on a mission to save it!.

Inmate Anna (Tang Wei) is granted three-day parole to attend her mother’s funeral. On the bus to Seattle, she meets a caddish man on the run, Hoon (Hyun Bin). More similar than they realize, the two bond as they tour the city and play-act different scenarios, knowing that their time together is shortlived. Public Enemy Returns in blockbuster style! The third film in director Kang Woo Suk’s golden franchise, Public Enemy Returns passed the four million admissions benchmark to become one of the highest-grossing Koreans films of 2008. After presenting a different story and character in 2005’s Another Public Enemy, Kang Woo Suk goes back to the original premise and protagonist of Public Enemy for his latest chapter, with acclaimed actor Sol Kyung Gu continuing to carry the franchise. This time, Sol Kyung Gu’s lethal, bad-tempered detective faces off against Jung Jae Young (Going By the Book, Righteous Ties). The film’s supporting cast includes Kim Nam Gil (formerly Lee Han, from No Regret), pre-Boys Over Flowers Lee Min Ho, and franchise regulars Kang Shin Il (Black House), Lee Moon Sik (Fly, Daddy, Fly), and Yu Hae Jin (Small Town Rivals). Public Enemy Returns also boasts the addition of award-winning screenwriter Jang Jin (Welcome to Dongmakgol, Guns and Talks) who works his signature offbeat humor into the intense crime action thriller.

Bitter detective Kang Chul Jung (Sol Kyung Gu) has been in the force for over a decade, but he’s got little to show for all his years of dogged crime-busting. The scum he put away are making more money than him. Kang is starting to regret his profession, but his angry determination kicks back into action when his next target shows up: Lee Won Sul (Jung Jae Young), a wealthy CEO, family man, and seemingly upstanding citizen who is actually the ruthless boss of a large crime organization..
