Public Enemy Returns in blockbuster style! The third film in director Kang Woo Suk’s golden franchise, Public Enemy Returns passed the four million admissions benchmark to become one of the highest-grossing Koreans films of 2008. After presenting a different story and character in 2005’s Another Public Enemy, Kang Woo Suk goes back to the original premise and protagonist of Public Enemy for his latest chapter, with acclaimed actor Sol Kyung Gu continuing to carry the franchise. This time, Sol Kyung Gu’s lethal, bad-tempered detective faces off against Jung Jae Young (Going By the Book, Righteous Ties). The film’s supporting cast includes Kim Nam Gil (formerly Lee Han, from No Regret), pre-Boys Over Flowers Lee Min Ho, and franchise regulars Kang Shin Il (Black House), Lee Moon Sik (Fly, Daddy, Fly), and Yu Hae Jin (Small Town Rivals). Public Enemy Returns also boasts the addition of award-winning screenwriter Jang Jin (Welcome to Dongmakgol, Guns and Talks) who works his signature offbeat humor into the intense crime action thriller.
