Two years ago, North Korean agent Won Ryu Hwan (Kim Soo Hyun) was sent to the South to lay low and await an assignment. His cover: the village idiot. Once a great soldier of the Republic’s most elite and brutal special forces, Ryu Hwan can now only diligently play the part of the bumbling fool, right down to daily missions of falling down in public and getting bullied by kids. He works at a corner store run by a kind woman who cares for him like a son. Soon, more sleeper agents show up in his neighborhood including his former subordinate Ri Hae Jin (Lee Hyun Woo), now a high school student, and the cynical and rebellious Lee Hae Rang (Park Ki Woong), who has no musical talent but is supposed to somehow become a rock singer. Just when the three spies have befriended the neighbors and grown accustomed to their small-town life, shocking orders from the North come in.
