Sunshine Boys (DVD) (Korea Version)
Taking a page from the recent nineties nostalgia trend, the indie movie Sunshine Boys follows three high school friends on the road in 1999. Written and directed by Kim Tae Gon (The Pot), the film reunites three buddies, whose lives are heading in different directions after high school, for a night of unexpected exploits and bittersweet pining.
A year out of high school, best friends Min Wook (Kim Chang Hwan), Sang Won (Shim Hee Seop) and Seung Joon (Ahn Jae Hong) are now all doing their own things. Sang Won is in college, Seung Jun is taking a gap year to study and Min Wook is in the army. Sang Won and Seung Jun visit Min Wook together and the three friends hit the road, just like old times. Sang Won and Seung Jun are also supposed to deliver a breakup letter from Min Wook’s girlfriend, but they can’t find the right time to break the news to their friend..
