As leader of the Goryeo royal guard, cavalier warrior Choi Young (Lee Min Ho) is in charge of protecting the newly crowned king Gong Min (Ryu Deok Hwan) and his queen (Park Se Young) in their voyage to the capital. The royal procession is attacked by assassins, and the queen ends up gravely injured in the ensuing battle.
