Best known for his crude, lowbrow comedies, Hong Kong director Wong Jing has concocted a wild adventure for the whole family with Treasure Hunt. In addition to co-directing with cinematographer Keung Kwok Man (Bullet and Brain), the prolific director also wrote, produced, and even acted in his latest comedy, about a wild hunt for an ancient treasure. Continuing her long-awaited big-screen comeback, Cecilia Cheung stars as an ad director trapped on an isolate island with an incompetent action star (played by Ronald Cheng) and a group of adorable kids. Together, they swing on trees, outwit the bad guys, and even fight a few man-eating plants along the way. In addition to the ensemble cast, Cecilia’s son Lucas also makes a cameo in an adorable debut performance, making Treasure Hunt a true family affair!

To further her career, elite commercial director Peggy (Cecilia Cheung) agrees to leave her husband (a cameo by Ekin Cheng) and her young son at home to shoot an ad on an isolated offshore island with alcoholic, incompetent action star Mr. Big (Ronald Cheng). With the star, his family, his manager (Wong Jing), and their children, Peggy attracts the attention of gangster Cobra, who is on the island to search for a legendary treasure left from the Ming Dyanasty. Juggling a spoiled superstar, kids, and a team of evildoers, how will Peggy get herself off the island so she can see family again?.
