Spanning 14 years, the massively popular mystery-comedy series Trick comes to an end with Trick The Movie: Last Stage! After three TV series, three feature-length specials and four movies, Abe Hiroshi and Nakama Yukie reunite as Ueda Jiro and Yamada Naoko for the last time.
Kagami Shinichi (Higashiyama Noriyuki), an employee of a company that mines rare earth materials, comes to physicist and hoax-debunker Ueda Jiro (Abe Hiroshi) seeking his help. Kagami’s company has purchased the mining rights for a secluded piece of land overseas on which a tribe resides. The shaman of the tribe says that the tribe cannot move because the land is sacred. She also claims to be able to see into the future and put fatal curses on people. Kagami implores Ueda to help debunk her claims, and Ueda agrees. Of course, he takes his frequent partner, struggling magician Yamada (Nakama Yukie), along on the adventure. They are joined by infectious diseases specialist Tanioka Masahi (Kitamura Kazuki) and Detective Yabe Kenzo (Namase Hatsuhisa). As the group makes their way towards the tribe, people start dying one by one. Does the shaman really have the power to curse people to death? Or is there something else going on?
