Suffering from short-term memory loss, Sanjay remembers things by tattooing facts on his body and a complicated set of Polaroid photographs of people he’s come across. Relying on them as his guides, Sanjay goes after every person responsible for his wife’s death and dispatches them in various brutal ways. His ultimate target is Ghajini, a terrifying gang leader with a few tricks up his sleeves to stop Sanjay’s revenge. With Khan’s tour-de-force performance, Murugadoss’ stylish direction, and a score by legendary composer A.R. Rahman, Ghajini was the highest grossing Bollywood film ever made at the time of its release, only to be eclipsed the next year by Khan’s following film 3 Idiots..
