Blockbuster director Kang Woo Suk aims for the heart with his latest box office hit GLove, an inspiring sports movie based on the true story of a hearing-impaired baseball team. Jung Jae Young and Yoo Sun, the stars of Kang’s previous film The Moss, team up again for a very different kind of movie. This time Jung Jae Young plays the reluctant baseball coach who grows with his team, while Yoo Sun is the supportive teacher. The film’s breakthrough baseball team includes Kim Hye Sung (Jenny, Juno), Lee Hyun Woo (God of Study), and Jang Ki Bum (The Righteous Thief).
Hot-tempered, washed-up baseball player Sang Nam (Jung Jae Young) is in serious need of image rehabilitation after landing in the news yet again for his involvement in a drunken brawl. His manager (Jo Jin Woong) sends him to the boonies to coach a hearing-impaired high school baseball team. It’s the last place Sang Nam wants to be, and he has no idea how to train his young ragtag players. The boys are plenty enthusiastic about his arrival, but Sang Nam is just counting the days till he can go back to the pros.
