Perfect Couple is a 2014 romantic comedy TV series set in the Ming Dynasty. Starring Wallace Huo and Tang Yan, who previously co-starred together in Chinese Paladin III, Perfect Couple follows the romantic adventures of Jin Yuan Bao and Yu Qi Lin. Jin Yuan Bao is the only son of one of the richest and most powerful families in the capital city, and there’s no mistaking him for anything otherwise. He utilizes his intelligence as a premier investigator. One day, he accidentally meets Yu Qi Lin, a girl disguised as a man while chasing down a pickpocket. After learning his name, for some reason, Yu Qi Lin suddenly displays an overwhelming interest in him.
Jin Yuan Bao is told that he is to marry a girl he has never met before, but he doesn’t want to. As it turns out, neither does his would-be bride, who runs away and leaves Yu Qi Lin to adopt her identity and take her place. The couple grows closer and closer as they bicker and have adventures together. However, Liu Wen Zhao (Wang Yang), Jin Yuan Bao’s cousin, is conspiring with the second imperial prince and their plans put Jin Yuan Bao and Yu Qi Lin in danger..
