A prominent figure of the Hong Kong Cinema New Wave, director Leong Po Chih (Jumping Ash) made the delightful Itchy Fingers with comedy star Richard Ng in 1979. Two years later, they teamed up again in another laughfest called Super Fool!. Ng plays the cocky kung fu movie star Lung Gum Wai, who accidentally meets his tragic demise while filming a dangerous action scene. The filmmakers need a lookalike to finish the movie, and they find it in an illegal immigrant from Mainland named Kan (also played by Ng), who has just stowed away to Hong Kong with his friend Ming. Kan is a spitting image of Wai all right, but to ensure that no one would realize he’s not the real deal, they would have to give this country bumpkin a thorough makeover… Super Fool! co-stars Flora Cheong, Philip Chan, Wong Wan Si, and Lo Hoi Pang..
