Mission Possible: Kidnapping Granny K (DVD) (DTS) (Korea Version)
Kim Sang Jin, the director of box-office comedy hits like Attack the Gas Station!, Kick the Moon, and Jail Breakers, certainly knows better than any mainstream filmmaker how to craft a perfectly tuned comedy. Stepping in as the main attraction for this belly-clenching flick is Na Moon Hee ( Cruel Winter Blues ) who plays the eccentric, feisty Granny K. The veteran actress is currently riding at the peak of her career as a result of her popular role in highly rated TV sitcom Unhindered Highkick . The three kidnappers played by Kang Sung Jin (Running Wild), Yu Hae Jin (Small Town Rivals), and Yoo Gun (Operation Makeover), somehow end up as pathetic victims of their own kidnappee in this hilarious film.
Three dopey kidnappers scheme to abduct Granny K (Na Moon Hee), a successful businesswoman who owns a soup ‘n’ rice restaurant chain, and demand a whopping 50 million won ransom. There’s Moon Geun Young (Yoo Hae Jin), a dorky lad who got all his money swindled away after cashing out his precious savings for a Uzbekistani marriage expedition. Joining Geun Young in the action is another lad (Kang Sung Jin) in desperate need of money to bail out his pregnant wife from jail and his brother-in-law (Yoo Gun), a twenty-something mindless dude who’s never attended school or held a job in his life. But what first seemed like a ticket to dreamland becomes their ultimate nightmare. Granny K, kidnappee from hell, shows these boys who’s the real boss around here.
