Andrew Lau, co-director of such Hong Kong box office hits as Infernal Affairs and Initial D, helms this beautifully crafted romantic thriller from Korea starring Jeon Ji Hyun, the mega-popular star of My Sassy Girl and Windstruck. Jeon stars as Hye Young, an innocent sidewalk artist living abroad in Amsterdam, with big dreams of someday headlining an exhibition in a real art gallery. In a romantic twist, she starts receiving a pot of daisies each day at 4:15 p.m. from a secret admirer. Oddly enough, the identity of the sender is none other than Park Yi (Jung Woo Sung, from Sad Movie and Musa), a ruthless assassin who works for a Chinese crime syndicate. It seems that while completing a mission, he found himself hiding in a house and began to notice a beautiful girl strolling by on a regular basis. The girl was, of course, Hye Young, and Park Yi quickly becomes smitten by her. A bit shy in the romance department, the hitman keeps his distance, sending his gift of flowers regularly, but anonymously.

As fate would have it, it isn’t long before Hye Young crosses paths with Jeong Woo (Lee Seong Jae, from Holiday and Public Enemy), a topnotch Interpol agent, and mistakenly assumes that he’s been her secret admirer all along. Through her innocent actions, Hye Young unknowingly tosses her two admirers into a deadly game of cat and mouse, which will not only have consequences for the men involved, but just might reveal some long buried secrets in Hye Young’s past as well. How will this eternal love triangle be resolved? With a screenplay co-written by My Sassy Girl director Kwak Jae Yong and featuring appearances by Cheon Ho Jin, David Chiang, Yu Soon Cheol and Dion Lam, Daisy is a complex, sometimes poignant story of pure love!.

From Kim Sung Soo, director of the epic Musa: The Warrior, comes a decidedly different kind of film – the delightful, hilariously offbeat romantic comedy, Please Teach Me English! Lee Na Young, star of Who Are You? and Someone Special, plays Young Ju, a cute, bespectacled public official who is forced to take English lessons, so at least one employee at the office is bilingual! After much hesitation, Young Ju signs up for English lessons, and soon enough, the adventure begins!

In the class, Young-Ju meets Cathy (Angela Kelly), the pretty teacher from Australia, as well as Moon Su (Jang Hyuk of Volcano High), who takes on the English name Elvis, thanks to his ridiculously long sideburns. While Young Ju (now rechristened “Candy”) takes a liking to Elvis, it seems he’s too busy making obvious passes at their teacher to care. But as shallow as Elvis seems, it turns out he’s got a real reason for being in class. He has a sister who was put up for adoption and soon she’ll be visiting both Elvis and his aged mother. Since his mother won’t be able to communicate with the English speaking daughter, it’s up to Elvis to learn the language before the three of them reunite. But when Candy misunderstands Elvis’ reasons for learning English, will she give in to her jealousy and ruin everything? Or is their hope for this screwball couple? The answer to these questions and more await you in this wacky, intensely likable film! Thanks to a charming performance from the adorable Lee Na Young, Please Teach Me English is one romantic comedy that goes straight to the head of the class!.
