Former TVB producer Wilson Chin (Lan Kwai Fong) makes his movie directorial debut in Summer Love Love. Famed for his expertise in crafting hit shows with gorgeous girls, Chin similarly gives his youth romantic comedy a high eye-candy factor with the thermometer-bursting presence of pop idol Elanne Kwong, sexy starlets Zhang Xinyu, Carol Yeung, Liu Yuqi, and a host of other smoking hot, bikini-clad models.

The movie follows the hilarious adventures of three otaku boys – played by singers Alex Fong Lik Sun, Lollipop F’s Owodog, and Terence Siufay – as they desperately try to find a perfect girlfriend. Well these bored chums sign up for this dubious tour group to Hainan, and there on the sandy beach in dazzling sunshine, they finally meet the goddesses of their dreams. The trio must fight an impossibly uphill battle to get the girls, but on their holy quest for love, surely there is no stopping them!

With renowned Hong Kong starmaker Paco Wong onboard as producer, Summer Love Love has no shortage of star cameos, among which include Miriam Yeung, Ekin Cheng, Stephy Tang, the Big Four (Andy Hui, William So, Edmond Leung, and Dicky Cheung), Niki Chow, Sam Lee, and Eric Tsang.

Four years after unwittingly cracking his first case, Aaron Kwok’s inept private eye is back in action with an improved grade in the highly anticipated The Detective 2! Director Oxide Pang’s stylish 2007 mystery was considered one of the best solo efforts from the Pang Brothers, and this time he returns to Bangkok with stars Aaron Kwok and Liu Kai Chi for an even more suspenseful crime-solving adventure. Although the Asian horror-meister has surprisingly dispensed with the supernatural element of the first film, he isn’t about to let up on the chill factor. The psychological crime thriller sequel has caught a group of new suspects for the supporting cast, including Patrick Tam, Eddie Cheung, Izz Xu (Child’s Eye), and Mainland actress Gong Beibi.

Bumbling private detective Chan Tam (Aaron Kwok) is enlisted by police pal Fung Chak (Liu Kai Chi) to help in the investigation of a serial murder case. The victims – a middle-aged man killed at home, a dead woman found in the trash dump, and a teenage girl slain in the park – were all killed in grisly manners, but they didn’t seem related to each other. Without any clue to follow up on, Tam is decidedly at his wits’ end. But when Chak is seriously wounded by a mysterious assailant, Tam deduces that the only way to uncover the truth is to get into the mind of the deranged killer, and in so doing he is forced to face a long-hidden side of himself….

The second film of female director Dai Wei after Ganglamedo (2008), Once Upon a Time in Tibet presents a lyrical tale of romance set against the tumultuous historical background of the Sino-Japanese War. The forbidden love affair between a banished Tibetan woman and a stranded American pilot sends repercussions across the beautiful snowscape of the Tibetan highland, which is captured on celluloid by renowned Taiwanese cinematographer Mark Lee Ping Bin (In the Mood for Love). Hardly recognizable under heavy makeup and speaking an exotic language, popular actors Peter Ho and Song Jia star in the touching romantic period drama alongside American actor/model Joshua Hannum, actress Zhu Ziyan, Taiwan musician Tino Bao, and Tibetan singer San Mu Ke.

In the beginning of World War II, American pilot Robert Smith (Joshua Hannum) is sent to China to assist in the war effort against Japanese invasion. In a mission escorting supplies from India to Yunnan, his cargo plane accidentally crashes somewhere in northern Tibet. Trying to find his way back to the base, the injured pilot barely survives the hostile weather condition, and is eventually saved by Yongcuo (Song Jia), a young Tibetan woman who is deemed “cursed” by her tribe. Despite the language barrier, the two learn to understand each other, and love gradually grows between them. Meanwhile, in order to gain his freedom, young Tibetan serf Jiangcuo (Peter Ho) agrees to lead a search squad to hunt down Robert when the latter is mistaken to be a murderer….
